Catherine Granell, Vice-President of the EUATC, plays central role in organising the 9th EUATC conference
Following on from Helsinki and Brussels, Juan-les-Pins is set to host the 9th conference organised by the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC) on 9 May 2014. In her capacity as Vice-President of the EUATC, Catherine Granell, Director of CG Traduction & Interprétation, is responsible for organising this event in France.
The conference is expected to bring together over one hundred stakeholders and professionals working in the translation industry in 20 European countries. National associations, company heads, project managers and translators are expected to attend this 9th conference which will focus on “The language business tomorrow – towards a virtual future”.
The eagerly-awaited, action-packed programme includes debates led by exceptional speakers, discussions about industry trends and exchanges revolving around common issues.
The conference also provides a fantastic opportunity for European translation companies to meet and network, both on 9 May and the evening of 8 May, during the Gala evening organised by the EUATC.
CG Traduction wanted to host the conference in the vibrant setting of Juan-les-Pins, which recently welcomed the construction of a 14,000 m2 convention centre boasting all of the mod cons and, for the comfort of participants, the prestigious Marriott hotel, which was renovated in 2012.
The EUATC in a nutshell

The EUATC ensure the legitimacy and credibility of member associations by getting them to adhere to a quality process as well as an improvement and standardisation strategy with regards to training provided to European translators and translation services.
